Spruce Up the 'Berg Grants
Next Deadline for Applications: January 7, 2026
You can download the application here.
The Spruce Up the 'Berg community-wide beautification program was designed to encourage Muhlenberg Countians to make a difference in their own neighborhoods and downtowns by reimagining and breathing new life into public spaces. Applications for the Foundation's 2026 Spruce Up the 'Berg grant program are now open! You can access the application here. The Foundation has allotted $100,000 in funding for projects in its 2026 program year, and plan to make grant announcements in late-February 2026.
Spruce up the 'Berg projects can be proposed and led by individuals or groups in Muhlenberg County, however they must partner with an organization who can receive the grant such as a 501(c)3 nonprofit, city, fiscal court, school, or church. Foundation staff can work with applicants to help them identify non-profit partners. Click on the following for a complete listing of projects awarded funding in 2023, 2024, and 2025.
Questions about this community-wide beautification program should be directed to the Foundation’s Director of Grants, Meredith Zahirovic, at 270-977-9194 or meredithz@cflouisville.org.
