Gary Carver was born and raised in Todd County, KY. He is a graduate of Western Kentucky University where he was a member of WKU’s basketball team. After graduating, he was drafted by the Indiana Pacers and went on to play professionally in Austria. Following his basketball career, Gary joined the insurance business which he has been in now for over 30 years. Gary has spent the last 18 years as an Insurance Agent with State Farm in Central City, KY.
Gary serves Muhlenberg County in various volunteer leadership capacities. He is an Advisory Committee member of Junior Achievement and a board member of the Long term disaster relief committee of Muhlenberg County. In addition to serving as an original member of the Felix E. Martin Jr. Foundation Advisory Council, Gary also served on the Foundation’s Board of Directors.
Gary and his wife Tracy have three sons, Chase (Brianne), Colby (Cristina) and Camden, and three grandchildren, Liam, Annistyn and Isla.
