Lanie Gardner is the Community President for First Southern National Bank in Muhlenberg County. Lanie joined the bank in July 2000 and has held several positions in the bank during her tenure. She earned her undergraduate degree in Business Management and Human Resources from Brescia University. Prior to joining the bank team, Lanie served as the Director of Human Resources for Muhlenberg Community Hospital for several years.
Lanie has been fortunate that in her job and her personal life she is able to help make a difference related to one of her passions … her hometown, Muhlenberg County. Lanie serves on the Felix E. Martin Jr. Foundation Board, The Community Hospital Board, and represents The Community Hospital at the Owensboro Health Board of Directors. She also serves on the Kentucky Banker’s Association Board of Directors and Muhlenberg County Children’s Fund Board. Lanie teaches at the Kentucky Banker’s Association General Banking Schools and is a Sunday School teacher at First Baptist Church. Lanie has served on several civic boards and community programs.
A native of Muhlenberg County, Lanie is married to Barry Gardner (38 years), and they have two children, Brad (Emily) and Terri Todde Logan (Wes). They have five grandchildren - Jude, Layla, Elin, Baylor and Poppy. Lanie enjoys women’s missions, Gospelfest, reading, working with emerging leaders, spending time with her family, laughing with her four sisters, serving and helping others, Circle of Friends and Christmas.
